4 in Zamboanga
Police have arrested four drug personalities and seized nearly PHP100,000 worth of illegal drugs in separate operations in the region, officials announced Tuesday.
The suspects were identified as Royme Guraili, 28; Jeric Amistoso, 28; Jhon Kim Balwit, 22; and, Jeffrey Delgado, 32.
Maj. Salvador Galvez, Zamboanga City Police Office’s Station 6 chief, said Guraili and Amistoso were arrested in a buy-bust operation around 12:04 a.m. Tuesday in Sitio Barigon, Barangay Tugbungan here.
Some eight grams of suspected shabu worth PHP54,800, a pouch, and PHP200 marked money were confiscated from the two suspects.
Meanwhile, Capt. Edwin Duco, Police Regional Office-9 information officer, said Balwit was arrested by police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) operatives in a buy-bust operation around 9:28 a.m. Monday in Purok Farmer, Barangay Turno, Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte.
Duco said seized from Balwit were some PHP42,000 worth of suspected shabu packed in seven heat-sealed plastic sachets and PHP500 marked money.
On the other hand, Capt. Orlyn Leyte, ZCPO’s Station 9 chief, said Delgado was arrested in possession of some PHP1,700 worth of suspected shabu and PHP200 marked money in a buy-bust operation around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday in Purok-8C, Barangay Recodo in this city.
The suspects, now detained, are facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
